Introducing Fashion

Finally, I am introducing my fashion component of Dose of Dana! I have always been a fashionista. Fashion is the ultimate expression of oneself and really allows you to get creative and have fun doing it. I’ve been obsessed with fashion since I was a little girl. In elementary school, I started dressing myself and one day I went in with a lime green fishnet shirt (they were in style in the 00’s I swear!) and a bunch of other funky stuff. My teacher called my mom asking what the hell was she thinking to let me go out like that and she said I was expressing myself! Well, let me tell you I’ve become a lot more put together since then, minus some weird fazes like wearing baby phat jumpsuits, hemp necklaces, and even some other interesting trends. But I’m slightly more normal now thank god! I think it’s fun to keep up with the latest trends but also important to develop your own unique style that reflects your individual self. My style is a mix of boho, classic, girly, sporty, edgy and of course trendy. No one can fit under one group and neither can I. I wear whatever depending on the mood and the occasion. I buy what I love, it doesn’t matter what category it fits in as long as it fits in my budget, sometimes I’m guilty of spending a little more than my budget because I just can’t help myself. I like my money where I can see it, hanging in my closet! When I’m shopping, I look to create an outfit with the new piece I buy and something that I already have in my closet because I don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars every time I go shopping. I love supporting local boutiques and funky stores where you can find something that no one else has. On my blog, I will be sharing my outfit details, favorite stores, and tips for trends!
