Introducing: Food

I can’t express to you guys how food obsessed I am. I love to cook, eat, watch, and think about food all the time. If you know me, you know I watch food network religiously and my dream job is getting my own Food Network show (shout out to Ina Garten, she is my IDOL). I’m always planning weekly menus and fantasizing about the new restaurant I want to try or conjuring up a gourmet meal I want to cook. On Dose of Dana, I’m going to share with you my own personal recipes which are healthy (most of the time), simple, and delicious. I’ll throw some decadent indulgence in there every once in a while because sometimes you gotta treat yo self!! Because I live on my own, I’m mostly cooking for myself. So I will be sharing recipes (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) that can be made for one serving size or as a make-ahead meal that will last you a couple days! Other times I’m cooking for friends and family. I loveeeee cooking for other people. I tend to go crazy and get a little more extravagant when I’m cooking for a crowd. I love to experiment with ingredients and a variety of different ethnic foods from Asian to Italian inspired dishes; but mainly, I like to make healthy food taste amazing. I love to eat good and feel good about what I’m eating. It’s important to me to be conscious of what I am putting in my body while ensuring that everything I make passes the taste test. Just because we have to eat to live but that doesn’t mean it has to be boring! The food segment of my blog will cover my own recipes, recipes from my favorite chefs with my personal spin, best grocery stores, and restaurants. I hope to bring the foodie out in all of you! Pictured: Charcuterie Board,  Skirt Steak with polenta and roast tomatoes, Avocado Toast 2 ways(all made by moi)! Don’t worry you don’t have to beg me, the recipes for these will be coming soon. Your wish is my command :)!

Charcuterie Board- this would be in the running for my last meal.
